Director, Free Standing ED
A newly opening 24/7 freestanding emergency department in Georgia is seeking a Director of Emergency Department to lead clinical and operational execution for a brand-new service line. The facility will serve adult and pediatric patients in a high-volume community setting and includes over 15 exam rooms, observation space, advanced imaging, and modern patient care areas. The Director will oversee daily operations, quality and safety initiatives, budgeting, and staffing performance, while serving as a liaison with physician and APP staffing partners. Direct reports include Charge Nurses, Emergency Department Registered Nurses, and Nursing Support Technicians. This leader will play a key role in establishing workflows, care pathways, and safe escalation and transfer protocols within a freestanding ED model.
Qualifications:
- Active RN license required with strong Emergency Department background; pediatric ED experience required
- 8+ years of emergency services experience with 2–3+ years in a leadership role (Director, Manager, or Clinical Manager level preferred)
- Freestanding ED experience strongly preferred with clear understanding of scope, transfer protocols, and escalation pathways
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a high-acuity
