Nursing Director, Pediatrics
Magee Resource Group has partnered with a leading children’s hospital to recruit a Nursing Director of Pediatrics. This nurse executive will oversee Pediatric Acute Care, Intermediate Care, Hematology/Oncology, the Pediatric ICU, and a Pediatric and Neonatal Flight Transport program. This role reports to the Chief Nursing Officer and carries operational, financial, and strategic responsibility for 100+ beds and 5 Nurse Managers. The ideal candidate is an experienced Director with strong pediatric critical care expertise, proven leadership in complex healthcare settings, and the ability to build trust across nursing and physician teams while driving results in a unionized environment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 4+ years of leadership experience at the Director level within pediatric critical care.
- BSN required; master’s degree completed or in progress preferred.
- Demonstrated success managing operations, budgets, labor relations, and workforce planning.
- Background in pediatric critical care and pediatric cardiac care; academic health system experience is strongly preferred.
