Magee Resource Group is partnering with a growing behavioral health program within a regional health system to recruit a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join an expanding outpatient psychiatry team. This newly created position supports continued growth across behavioral health services and offers the opportunity to work within a highly collaborative provider model alongside psychiatrists, psychologists, nursing staff, and behavioral health leadership.

This role is primarily outpatient-focused and designed to improve patient access, continuity of care, and long-term service line growth while allowing providers to practice in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, treatment planning, and medication management
• Manage stable and moderate-acuity psychiatric patients in collaboration with supervising psychiatrists
• Treat patients requiring ongoing medication monitoring and controlled substance management, including ADHD populations
• Conduct psychiatric follow-up visits and establish longitudinal treatment relationships with patients
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, nurses, psychologists, and support staff to coordinate care plans
• Participate in regular case review discussions and interdisciplinary treatment planning
• Document patient encounters accurately and maintain quality and compliance standards
• Contribute to a patient-centered environment focused on access, continuity, and excellent outcomes

Practice Environment:

• Primarily outpatient psychiatry setting
• Team-based provider model with dedicated physician collaboration
• Psychiatrists maintain highest-acuity cases while NP supports ongoing outpatient management
• Adult patient population with occasional older adolescent exposure
• Strong emphasis on collaboration and provider support
• Established behavioral health infrastructure with continued expansion plans

Schedule:

• Monday–Friday schedule
• Clinic hours approximately 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• No required call
• No weekend responsibilities
• Optional future weekend opportunities may become available with additional compensation
• Structured appointment templates designed to support quality patient care

Qualifications:

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner or eligibility for licensure
• Ability to obtain DEA registration if not already active
• Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner certification preferred
• Open to candidates with varied backgrounds and strong clinical foundations

Preferred Background:

• Experienced psychiatric nurses transitioning into PMHNP practice
• Family Nurse Practitioners with psychiatric certification
